Holiday Card Sign-Up

Every year since 2017 we have sent holiday cards to whomever signs up. We call it a “holiday card” because there are several different December holidays celebrated, and we like to be inclusive. While the cards tend to feature evergreen trees, that is mostly because I really like trees, and I live in a place where evergreens flourish. I could add a holly tree – rather than a fir tree – but it would likely be bathed in blood because there is nothing quite like getting stuck with a holly leaf to inspire images of blood. I am not sure the post office would be comfortable delivering cards featuring blood images, and I would likely end up on a watch list, so I stick with fir trees.

Bet you weren’t expecting that sort of sharing in a holiday card post!

If you’d like a card, we have a form for you to fill out every year. No, it isn’t the card pictured here. That is last year’s card. This year’s card is a secret, as they always are. No spoilers here!

The cards are postcard-style because none of us want to stuff several thousand envelopes. Just think of the paper cuts! <shudders> I mention this so you know what to expect, and to warn you that anyone who shares your mailbox will possibly see this card. Do what you will with that information.

The card sign-up form closes on Halloween, so please sign up HERE if you want a card this year.

As for last year’s card, can you tell which book inspired it?
